About Everyday Liturgy
Everyday Liturgy exists to be not merely a blog but a conversation. Too often blogs become bastions of individual expertise, a place to go to find someone's opinion on everything, instead of a place to interact and grow. As we are all about theology and spiritual practice, a conversation is the only way to provide meaningful spiritual growth and inquiry without descending into a modernistic five step plan or hearing the din of one person's voice over and over.
Everyday Liturgy consists of two parts, the blog and the journal. Both compliment each other and function in a symbiotic relationship of interaction and conversation.
The Blog
At the crux of everyday life is our everyday liturgy: worldview and worship seeking to navigate the waters between the banks of Christianity and Life (which over time should become indistinguishable). Our contributors hold evangelical, emergent, mainline, Catholic and Orthodox perspectives.

The Everyday Journal
The Everyday Journal believes that there is a desire for graduate-level scholarship at the intersection of the study of liturgy, Christianity, theology, and culture. We think aspiring academics, thinkers, and armchair theologians need an outlet for ideas, research, and discussion in a positive yet critical environment. Too often scholarship is squelched in a cut-throat publishing driven journal culture that does not give adequate coverage to those who are skilled scholars without the credentials. The Everyday Journal exists to foster a community of rigorous scholarship and thought that is open to those writers who are on their way to more advanced degrees, publishing, or writing. This journal provides an outlet for the formulation of scholarly ideas and research that is evolving, much like conference papers are read and given in order to further the academic endeavors of the presenter.
