Prayer for the Final Week of Epiphany

God Almighty,

We praise you who journeys with us through sin and death,
who walked with Adam and Eve in the garden,
who led Abraham into the land of Canaan,
who sojourned with Israel in the wilderness,
who camped with David in the desert places,
who rescued your prophets when they were driven from the land,
who watched over your people when they were scattered to far away places,
who visited Mary and Joseph to bless them with your Son,
who empowered Christ to preach the good news of your kingdom.

You are always present with us, just as you were present on the holy mountain,
blessing the apostles with the sight of your son glorified.

May we continue to bring you praise.

All glory and honor belongs to you.

Amen

Prayer for the Sixth Week After Epiphany

God Almighty,

The earth and heavens are yours.

The world is unable to hold the bounty of your love.
It bursts forth with your goodness from the four corners of the earth.
From generation to generation you are called blessed.

Bless us with your grace and mercy, that we may serve you
and be stewards of all you have given us.

May our faith produce abundant fruit.

Amen.

Prayer for the Fourth Week of Epiphany

God Alimghty,
you have confronted evil, darkness and suffering
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Confront the evil, darkness and suffering
in my own heart, and give me the joy
of your salvation.

Amen

Prayer for the Third Week of Epiphany

God Almighty, you sent your Son,
Jesus Christ, to conquer death and darkness
with life and light.

Through Christ’s death and resurrection
we receive overwhelming forgiveness,
and we gladly pass along this forgiveness to others
so that your kingdom will come, and your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.

Amen

Prayer for the Second Week of Epiphany

God Almighty,

Bring us the gift of wisdom, that we may
know your good and pleasing and perfect will:
to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with you.

Shape us into a people worthy of your Name.

Amen.

Prayer for the First Week of Epiphany

God Almighty,

Glory, honor and power be to the one who came in the flesh
to dwell among us and offer us the gift of salvation.

We worship you by offering our lives as gifts to you,
an offering that is holy and pleasing to you.

Amen
