Prayer for the Twenty Third Week After Pentecost

God Almighty,

We come to you and give thanks for your goodness and mercy.

You have watched over your people,
through times of abundance and times of persecution,
through times of rejoicing and times of hardship,
and through times of praise and times of lament.

You are present with us in all things, and we look to you
for salvation and renewal.

Amen

Prayer for the Twenty Second Week After Pentecost

God Almighty,

Through your death and resurrection we see the firstfruits of everlasting life:
the grace of your healing,
the mercy of your forgiveness,
the blessing of your faithfulness.

Let us who have been loved by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
show love and compassion to others.

Let us who have had the Word of God planted in us
give freely the message of life to others
through our words and deeds.

Amen

Prayer for the Twenty First Sunday After Pentecost

God Almighty,
through your power alone we live before you in humble service.

Your grace, your mercy and your gentleness are our comfort,
and with the help of the Holy Spirit may we give grace and mercy
to our loved ones, our neighbors, our brothers & sisters in Christ
and to strangers.

Amen

Prayer for the Twentieth Week After Pentecost

God Almighty,

Open my ears to your voice.
Open my lips to praise your name.
Open my heart to the work of your Spirit.

Open my body and soul to your grace,
that I may worship you in spirit and in truth.

May I bring glory and honor to your name.

Amen

Prayer for the Nineteenth Week After Pentecost

God Almighty,

Your voice has called the world into being.
Your power sustains all the earth.
Your mercy is extended to all humankind.

As a thirsty man yearns for a cup of water,
so may we yearn for your presence.

And filled with the water that never leaves us thirsty again,
may we give a cup of water to those who are in need,
through prayer, through love and through word and deed.

Amen

Prayer for the Eighteenth Week After Pentecost

God Almighty,

You give us more grace than we can ever ask for,
along with mercy, hope and compassion.

Give us the strength to live out our faith
this day, this week, these coming months and years,
as we look to proclaim your righteousness
and abundant life.

Amen
