Prayer for A New Year

God Almighty,

I ask your blessing upon my family and friends this year,
that we look to you for our daily bread,
and that you establish the work of our hands.

Most dearly, I pray that you shape the desires of my heart,
that I seek after what you want for me.

And as I am prone to want for selfish things, I pray
not my will but yours
not my will but yours
not my will but yours be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Amen

      The repetition is there because I desperately need to repeat that part this year. We have some big decisions to make as a family this year.
