Preparing for Snow
We have snow coming tomorrow, which means I can sit and drink a pot of tea and coffee each while reading books and playing Legend of Zelda. I am really looking forward to tomorrow.
The book I will be finishing tomorrow before lunch (hopefully) is The Circle of Seasons: Meeting God in the Church Year by Kimberlee Conway Ireton. Full review will be in The Everyday Journal 2.1, but if you want to "read" ahead and have some hard earned cash around buy it. You’ll be happy you did. For me, I see this book becoming a reasource I turn to yearly for practical long-view ideas of the liturgical seasons that are lacking in most daily prayer books.
I had a really good idea to blog about in the afternoon but didn’t write it down so it escapes me, but it is Friday and all is well.
Tonight I am going to Newark with some members of The Plant to work with the New York City Relief Bus. I am looking forward to it.
I hope you are looking forward to your weekend as well.
