Shrove Tuesday is Burger Day

My wife and I finally decided on doing the Lenten fast in the Roman Catholic tradition this year, so we will be having only one meal a day at lunch with two snackish meals for breakfast and dinner. On Shrove Tuesday people usually feast on pancakes, but that’s something that Sarah and I have semi-regularly. We only eat meat once a week, and it is usually of the super healthy, ultra lean kind, so Sarah couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the day before the plunge into penitence than with a huge burger and basket of fries from Red Robin.
Sarah got the Five Alarm Burger and I had the all new Blackened Bayou Burger. So good!
This might beome a Turner family tradition.
Now I need to read and I am heavily sedated by simple startches and the weight of beef in my belly…
