The Dodgers Win
The Dodgers won yesterday much to the chagrin of Evan Curry (and apparently Heather Goodman as well).
The game definitely continued the little league style from the previous two days with lots of pickles, errors, and poor baserunning.
I was greeted at the front of the stadium by about fifteen college freshmen holding a sign that said "Where’s Manny?" If the sign bearers spent less time sniffing the after-fumes of Crayola markers and more time reading ESPN.com they would have known he was at home and not traveling with the team. Today he is in Florida meeting with the Dodgers players to talk through what happened. So that’s where he is.
With that explained, we just watched the game and talked. The fans were very civil. It was a day game, and maybe I had bought good enough tickets that there was no hulliganism. It was fun. It was baseball, how could it not be fun?
Maybe we should solve all theological quandries this way, with a baseball game…
Here’s the box score from yesterday’s game.
