The Premiere of the Novena for Restore

In December I was asked by Restore NYC to write a prayer that the organization could use for prayer walking and speaking/church engagements.

The prayer was first used this week at a special church service in New York City for sex-trafficking and I am told by Restore NYC intern and friend Janelle that it was a successful premiere and "the prayer really impacted a lot of people."

Writing a novena was an exciting experience.  I write prayers, and then I write prayers. There are times when the prayers just come to me and write themselves.  It’s close to the "in the zone" experience you have when playing sports…the "Psalmist experience" if you will.  This was probably the ultimate of those experiences I have had, when all the creativity from writing and study and literature all swirled into a creative wind that blew prayers onto the pages.
