Third Way Thursday: Dodgers vs. Phillies
The Dodgers lost to the Phillies on Tuesday and the highlight of the game was Jayson Werth stealing home in old-school, little league fashion. Yesterday the Dodgers beat the Phillies (by many more runs) and the highlight was Matt Kemp running home from second on a bunt in old-school, little league fashion.
Both teams are good, play with intensity, met in the National League Championship Series last year, and share some ex-players. With each having a win this year, today will decide the series.
I will be there to argue for the Dodgers, and Evan Curry will be arguing for the Phillies. It’s Third Way Thursday, brought to you live from Citizens Bank Park!
There are two strong pitchers today with the Dodgers’ Billingsley facing off against the Phillies Hamels. Much intrigue will fill the day. Old school, little league play will apparently rule the day as well. Maybe a picture giving the first baseman the ball then walking to the mound with the chalk bag. Who knows!
In the end, will there be a third way. Not really.
Game time is at 1:05 EST if you want to watch the battle on TV or listen on the radio. My argument for the Dodgers being the best team will be up tomorrow. If Evan can scrounge up an argument for the Phillies I’ll let you know when it will be posted.
Boo, hiss.
Exciting game, but my Phillies just couldn’t hang on.
