We Are The Just Ones
We are the just ones
because justice is us
and we are it, made right
because we were not left
to wander but now walk
the way of a king.
Guide our feet…Amen.
For some reason I have an interest in playing with cliches in inventive and new ways in prayer and poetry. This is no acception. The use of right and left in the poem is kind of playful, but it reminds us that what is so normal to us, our right and our left, are also some of the greatest choices we have to make: which way should we go.
We should always go where the light is.
