I am going to take some time this month to step away from writing and chart out a course of what I want to write about this coming fall. I will still have original prayers each Monday, but other than a guest post here and there, the month of August will feature posts I have pulled and curated from the archives.
I have been writing Everyday Liturgy since 2006, so there are a ton of posts on here that many new readers, and even readers that have followed for the past several years, will not have read.
- Looking toward the rest of the year, I am going to take some time and plan out posts on such things as:
- Praying for your children
- A Christian response to gun ownership and gun violence
- Fasting regularly
- Producing more Four Questions interviews
- Interacting with blogs and their authors
I also want to spend some time in August reading my favorite blogs. I have been so crunched for free time (writing articles for Relevant and The Curator, prepping for a sermon this Sunday, and finishing a book of poetry so that I can write a review for The Englewood Review of Books) that I have barely had time to write on my own blog, let alone read other’s blogs. Some bloggers I look forward to reading are:
- Ed Cyzewski
- Lore Ferguson
- Tim Ghali
- Kimberlee Conway Ireton
- Keith Klingen
- Addie Zierman
I also want to discover some others. Suggestions are welcome.
The first August Archive post will be tomorrow.
