Pray As You Go

September 18, 2014

Pray As You GoOne of the worship tools I have really enjoyed for a long time is Pray As You Go, an Ignatian prayer resource. Each day you are led into a time of prayer and meditation with a song or chant and then a daily Scripture reading. It was a fantastic resource, but it was harder to do “as you go”when you had to download the mp3 files. So I was elated to find out that there is a PAYG app for Android and iPhone.

I would encourage you to download the app so that you can stream or play the prayers offline as you are on your daily commute or lunch break.

  1. Neat idea. Thanks for the tip!

  2. Thomas, thank you for sharing this resource! I’ve been asking the Lord to quiet my mind and my heart so I can discern what is from Him from what is not, and along He sends this entry from you! Just a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I were lamenting that we missed the music we experienced in traditional Episcopal services we attended 35+ years ago. Also, my Dad loved to read the works of 14th Century (if I remember correctly) mystics, so when I saw “Ignatius,” I knew this would hit the spot! Thank you again, and may the Lord bless you and your precious family and continue to accomplish His work in and through you!
